Kids in daycare, kids with me....
The weather gets cold and snowy, then warms up to shirtsleeve weather ...WHAT?????
The only thing predictable is that Trump is being an idiot and Covid marches on....
So, on a happier note: We have been getting on rather well. I have had the kids for the past 3 weeks and did not really expect them to go back to daycare, but the incidences of exposure has decreased in Howard, so D-i-L feels it is safe for them to go back.
When Husband did not stick with the job he had lined up, that put us in a Health Insurance lurch, so we went hunting and found a not-for-profit organization that calls itself a Health Share organization - not insurance but operates similarly. So then husband could look for part-time work, which he has done. He has found one "job" as a sort of private contractor and has been doing that for a few days, and he has also been called to Home Depot and will do an orientation and be assigned to a department next week. He is concerned about the hours there, and might not accept or stick with it if the hours are inconvenient. He really doesn't NEED to work for us to be financially secure, but he does need something to DO. He has also been playing tennis a lot, which is good for him (if not his knees).
I finally got information about my physical last month, and as expected, my Cholesterol is very high, so no butter for me! With the beautiful weather we have been having, I have been getting more exercise, either by intention or just getting outdoor things done that I had given up on when the weather was seasonably cold last week! We have take down more of the spent plants in the garden, collected leaves from Dean T (he has trees, we don't) and gotten some compost. I'd like to get all that spread out and the beds tucked in with landscape fabric to keep it from blowing away, but today it is breezy. IF I can get said Hubby to help it might happen?
Thanksgiving plans are vague. DS the Younger is in a high Covid state where travel is discouraged. He won't decide until the week of if he is coming. I mailed his birthday gift yesterday.
Christmas will be quiet this year - well as quiet as possible with 3 little ones bouncing around! Very different from the years we lived in Illinois, but with only our two households together. We are planning fewer gifts, and I hope to make our gifts. Maybe some small toys for the littles. Less food too, since there will be fewer people to feed. Not sure how much decorating I'll do?
Anyhow. Life goes on.
We will have a President some day, but for now, it is still up in the air.....
Well, I'm delighted that Mr Trump has been seen off... at least I hope he has. Happy Thanksgiving when it comes - is it today, maybe?
